Real Portland weddings
Bree & Andy at Rossi Farms
On the 21st night of September, Bree and Andy married at historic Rossi Farms. It's a working farm inside the city limits — century-old red barn, Mt. Hood in the distance. Andy vowed to comfort Bree on hard days with grilled cheese and tomato soup. Cozy pajamas included. She promised to always choose him. As dusk fell, string lights warmed the weathered barn wood. Their guests danced under the stars.
Ariana & Ian at Gray Gables Estate
They met on a Las Vegas dating app. The wedding? Pure storybook. At Gray Gables Estate, a manor built in the early 1900s, they exchanged vows beneath a Grecian gazebo. Late-summer blooms everywhere, a koi pond murmuring nearby. Ian promised to be the best dog dad to their pup. Ariana told him, "with you, my soul is home." The sniffles were audible. Vintage chandeliers in the ballroom lit their first dance.
Sydney & Pablo at The Aerie at Eagle Landing
One block party in August 2019. A night Sydney almost skipped. Five years of laughter since. At The Aerie at Eagle Landing, perched atop Mount Scott, they married in a garden overlooking the valley. Their promise: "I choose you to be my partner from this day forward." Then the new Mr. and Mrs. Fuentes-Tran danced under the tented pavilion's twinkle lights with everyone they love.
Katy & Devon at Abigail's Garden at Abernethy Center
Katy and Devon married beneath the weeping willow in Abigail's Garden. A loved one shared words worth keeping: "Let your love be stronger than your anger, learn the wisdom of compromise, and always remember that true friendship is the basis of any lasting relationship." Katy called Devon her rock and promised to love him "more than yesterday, and even more tomorrow." He toasted their "Team Baltimore." Dinner and dancing followed under an ivory tent. S'mores at the fire pits closed the night.
Lisa & James at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden
Lisa and James married at Crystal Springs Rhododendron Garden in late June. Thousands of rhododendrons and azaleas bloomed around the spring-fed lake. Their officiant called marriage an "empty box" you fill daily with love and care. Their vows promised exactly that. Ducks glided past as they said them. That night they danced under the open sky, lights reflecting on the water.
