How to schedule a wedding
Start with the commitments you already know, then give the people and moments around them enough time. This wedding schedule maker turns those decisions into an editable wedding day timeline, from getting ready to the venue’s closing time.
Set your fixed times
Enter your date, ceremony time, venues and guest curfew. Add an everyone-out deadline if cleanup must finish by a particular time. These anchors help show how much room you have for the rest of the day.
Work backward through getting ready
Add your wedding party, hair and makeup services, artists, dressing time and portrait choices. Include travel and a little breathing room. Replace suggested service times with your beauty team’s estimates, especially when several people share a small team.

Is this an editable wedding timeline template?
It builds a starting timeline from your answers. Change event durations, point people and notes; update fixed times in the earlier steps. The schedule recalculates and flags conflicts. The exported document is editable too.
Can I make a timeline with or without a first look?
Yes. Choosing a first look places the main portrait blocks before the ceremony. Without one, those portraits move afterward. Review the photo list and time allowances with your photographer so guests are not left waiting unexpectedly.
How does the hair and makeup schedule work?
List who needs each service and how many artists are available. The appointment sheet keeps each person and artist on one service at a time. DIY choices reduce professional appointments; a busy roster may require an earlier start.
Can we use different ceremony and reception venues?
Yes, with optional getting-ready and portrait locations too. Enter travel estimates for the couple and guests. The app does not calculate routes or traffic from venue names, so check parking, access and travel with your team.
Can I edit the wedding timeline in Google Docs?
After saving, use the available Google sign-in option to create a Google Doc, or download the DOCX and open it in Google Docs through Google Drive. You can also copy the formatted timeline into a new Doc. Exported copies do not automatically update when you change the scheduler.
Preview your plan in the browser. Saving for export stores your schedule and consent record on our servers; it requires your name, email and terms acceptance. Planning emails and vendor outreach are optional, separate choices. Read the scheduler privacy notice before saving.
